Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up for lessons?
Send me an email or give me a call. Times are limited due to high demand so call now to make sure you get the time slot that you need. My phone number is 480-458-7758.
2023 Update
My schedule is currently all booked up and I am not accepting any new students at this time. If you are interested in taking lessons with me feel free to leave me your contact information and I will add you to my waiting list.
Thank you!
What ages do you teach?
My guitar lessons and bass lessons are designed for anyone 12yrs old or older. I have experience teaching many different age groups from as young as 7yrs old to as old as 70yrs old but I no longer accept any students under the age of 12yrs old. I feel that most children under the age of 12 are not ready to handle the physical and mental aspects of learning the guitar or bass. Occasionally I will make exceptions for well behaved and specially gifted children under 12yrs old. Please contact me for more information.
Will you come to me and teach the lesson at my home?
No. All guitar lessons and bass guitar lessons will be taught in my home studio located in Queen Creek, Arizona. If you are a parent please note that you are more than welcome to sit in during the lesson with your child.
What do I need to bring to lessons?
All you need to bring is your instrument. I have extra amplifiers and cables here. If you need help operating your amplifier, tuner, or metronome you are welcome to bring it to your first lesson and I can help you with it.
What music genres or songs do you teach?
I can teach all music genres but I specialize in rock, metal, blues, country, and pop. I can teach you pretty much any song in any genre that you want to learn. I also have many songs that I will recommend to students to help them improve certain areas of their playing. Some of the more common requests I get are for songs by bands like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Sublime, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, CCR, Tool, Green Day, The Beatles, Rush, and Nirvana.
What do you include with your lessons?
I created all of my own lesson materials (handouts, audio tracks, tabs, jam-a-long tracks, ect) and provide these materials to all of my guitar and bass students for free. After each lesson you will be sent an email that will contain a customized recommended practice routine (updated weekly) and attachments of any lesson materials that we covered during our lesson time together.
What days and times are you available?
I teach 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. Please call me at 480-458-7758 or email me for specific availability.
How long do lessons last?
